Position SummaryThis Newly created Process Automation Developer role on our Innovation team is specifically focused on Business Process Automation (BPA), Remote Process Automation (RPA), and Machine Learning (ML) / Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, to seek ways to increase our internal workforce efficiency by reducing manual processes that could otherwise be made easier or eliminated, using automation technologies.Are you original and independent? Sounds FUN, right?This NEW role will also perform technical design and development of new technology POCs, as well as to provide guidance and assistance through launch in receiving Business Units. This position will assist in long-range planning and recommendations regarding technical architecture as well.This role can work 100% remote in the US, on-site at our Corporate Campus in Neenah, WI or hybrid.
Job ResponsibilitiesGains an understanding of internal processes with guidance from customers, business units, and general subject matter experts to understand the opportunities for automation. Provides technical expertise in RPA/BPA/ML/AI technologies and sets the direction for best approach for prioritized scenarios deemed as candidates for automation improvement.Develops and enhances solutions using appropriate technology to solve for automation needs. Analyze current automation footprint to understand and evaluate success or need for improvement, resulting in a reduction of FTE hours.Builds data visualizations to communicate broad and complex data in simple, relevant, actionable ways.Serves as a mentor to other technical staff to enhance their productivity and educate them on RPA/BPA/ML/AI strategy, thereby building internal subject matter expertise within the organization’s breath of knowledge.Builds and communicates vision and strategy as the landscape of Automation / ML / AI shifts to stay in front of the technology.Communicates with third party vendors, end users, customers and internal product stakeholders on systems requirements, enhancements, and recommendations to support business direction.Develops and maintains a solid understanding of the technology tools and trends and remains current in new technology developments and their potential impact on the department.
QualificationsExperience:5+ years of progressive experience in analysis, technical design, coding, then testing and simulation of applications, with at least 3 years in automation technologies including ML/AI.Experience working with RPA/BPA tools such as QuickBase.Experience integrating enterprise applications.Experience with relational database design.Experience with API design and RESTful API Design / web services.Experience mentoring others on technical issues.Education:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or technology-related field.Demonstrated success and experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.Computer Skills:Command of process automation tools.Working knowledge of Java, React, C# .NET Framework.Working knowledge of ML / AI toolsWorking knowledge of HTML & JavaScriptExperience building applications with Microsoft AzureUnderstanding of SQL Server development and database structures.Other Requirements:Advanced MS Excel skills, such as macros and pivot tables.Ability to learn and utilize a variety of software applications. Strong technical aptitude.Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels.Systems analysis and design skills.Strong problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical and non-technical issues with customers, vendors, and product stakeholders at various levels.

J. J. Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The compensation range for this role is $98,000.00 to $115,000.00 which varies depending on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s overall experience and geographic location. Note that J. J. Keller is not currently recruiting employees to work in California.
