Role OverviewAs a Developer Advocate at Walacor, you will play a crucial role in engaging with our developer community (see Discord invite above), creating compelling content, and showcasing the capabilities of "The Platform." Your primary focus will be on full stack development using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js. You will create educational resources, including code-along tutorial videos for Walacor's YouTube channel, demonstration videos, GitHub repositories, and other content that help developers build secure applications with our technology on AWS and Azure cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation:Develop and publish high-quality code-along tutorial videos for Walacor's YouTube channel, focusing on full stack development with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js.Create engaging video tutorials and webinars that demonstrate building secure applications for government, defense, intelligence, space, and cybersecurity sectors.Set up and maintain GitHub repositories with starter templates, code examples, and best practices.The first major code-along tutorial should focus on building a headless CMS with Walacor as the backend.Cloud Deployment Guidance:Provide comprehensive guides and tutorials on deploying "The Platform" on AWS and Azure cloud environments.Create quick start guides for developers to instantly get started with "The Platform" from AWS and Azure marketplaces.Community Engagement:Actively engage with the developer community through social media, forums, and conferences.Provide support and guidance to developers integrating "The Platform" into their projects.Gather feedback from the community to help improve our products and developer resources.Advocate for the adoption of "The Platform" by demonstrating its benefits in securing data at rest and preventing threats like ransomware.Work closely with the product and engineering teams to stay updated on new features and relay developer needs and feedback.Educational Outreach:Develop comprehensive starter templates and an npm package for easy integration of "The Platform" into development projects.Build a CMS front end over "The Platform" to allow secure content publishing.Create connectors to other systems to securely encapsulate and manage their content within "The Platform."

Qualifications

Technical Skills:Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js.Strong understanding of full stack development principles.Experience with database technologies and REST API interfaces.Familiarity with cloud environments, specifically AWS and Azure.Understanding of security best practices.Content Creation:Proven ability to create high-quality technical content, including code-along tutorial videos, written guides, video tutorials, and GitHub repositories.Experience with video creation and editing tools.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.Community Engagement:Experience engaging with developer communities through social media, forums, and at conferences.Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others succeed.Preferred Experience:Previous experience in a Developer Advocate or similar role.Knowledge of government, defense, intelligence, space, or cybersecurity industries.Experience with AI/ML security concerns such as AI poisoning and decision-making.
