Senior/Lead Backend/Fullstack Developer

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Senior/Lead Backend/Fullstack Developer - Remote position in Poland, Romania or Bulgaria.

Responsibilities:

Architectural Design and Scalability: Design and architect the back-end systems in PHP to ensure scalability, high availability, and optimal performance as the user base grows. Implement caching mechanisms and load balancing to handle traffic spikes efficiently.

Database Management: Manage the MySQL database infrastructure, including schema design, indexing, and optimization for fast data retrieval. Ensure data integrity and security, implementing backup and recovery strategies.

API Development: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs that allow clients (web and mobile apps) to interact with the service. Ensure API security, rate limiting, and authentication mechanisms.

Content Delivery: Implement content delivery mechanisms, possibly using Nginx, to efficiently serve audio files and multimedia content to users. Optimize media streaming for different devices and network conditions.

Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the back-end code and database queries to minimize latency and improve response times. Implement profiling and debugging tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Security and Compliance: Implement security measures to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Search and Recommendation Algorithms: Develop algorithms for content discovery, personalized recommendations, and search functionality to enhance user engagement.

Integration with Third-Party Services: Integrate with external services, such as payment gateways, analytics tools, and social media platforms. Ensure smooth communication and data exchange between the streaming service and these services.

Team Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers, fostering their professional growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers.

Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring solutions to track server performance, user interactions, and system health. Set up comprehensive logging to facilitate debugging and issue resolution.

Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, code deployment, and version control. Ensure a smooth and reliable deployment process to minimize downtime.

Disaster Recovery and Redundancy: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and redundancy strategies to ensure system availability in case of failures or outages.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for the back-end systems, APIs, and infrastructure.

Requirements

Based in Poland, Romania or BulgariaExperience:

at least 1 year of experience as Team Lead/Team Manager;

an experience with projects for a big group of users, the tool is for 25 million users right now;

A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in backend development, with a strong preference for proficiency in PHP

Technical Skills: Profound understanding of PHP, RESTful APIs, database design (MySQL), data structures, and Nginx. Experience with other programming languages is a valuable asset, especially Linux. For the Fullstack position: also experience with jQuery, CSS, HTMLAnalytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsCommunication: Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration
