Great opportunity for an Intermediate-level SSAS Cubes Developer to work in a big-data environment and use multiple data sources for Cubes Development.

This SSAS Cubes Developer contract opportunity is fully remote, within South Africa and offers R400 ph.

Candidates MUST reside within SA.

THE COMPANY:

Leading enterprise IT consulting organisation, working on long-term projects for international Telecommunications provider.

THE ROLE:

The SSAS Cubes developer will be expected to use multiple data sources for cube development, for example Oracle Database and big data environment.Develop & improve MS Analysis Services cubes (Tabular & Multi-Dimensional). Ensure that SSAS cubes complies with data visualization or presentation.Design and implement data analytics KPI’s.Work closely with BI Data Engineers to define SSAS cube requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• National Diploma or Degree. (NQF Level 7 minimum).- 3-5 years’ experience working with MS SSAS in creating cubes, data source views, named queries, dimensions and deploying of analysis services projects.- Telecommunications industry experience advantageous.- Experience in writing MDX queries.- Tabular & dimensional data modelling experience.- Extensive knowledge in SSAS storage and partitions - Highly proficient in SQL (both Oracle SQL and Hive SQL) - Knowledge of Unix and/or Linux operating systems.- Sound knowledge of ETL. - Worked in environments with large data volumes.- Proven experiences of large data sets. - Strong Knowledge of SQL Server.- Development experience in OBIEE dashboards, Power BI or any other visualization tool.
