We're searching for a Senior Java Developer to enhance our remote team by crafting top-quality, scalable, and reliable applications using best practices in the industry.

Your role in our agile team will involve maintaining strong relationships with internal associates from engineering, product, and business sectors. Utilizing real-time data for understanding performance and ensuring system scalability will be part of your duties. Your involvement will also be crucial in resolving production issues.

Crafting top-quality, scalable, and reliable applications using best practices in the industrySustaining strong relationships with internal associates from engineering, product, and business sectorsCommitment to delivering tested and optimized high-performance code for a distributed SOA environmentParticipation in an agile team that continuously learns and improvesUtilization of real-time data to understand performance and ensure system scalabilityContainerization of apps and services for cloud deploymentCreation of fast, scalable, and reliable property status software that includes real-time feedback loops for all propertiesSimplification of our core property status workflow to improve user experienceScaling of private and public APIs to enhance UI experiences for internal and external partnersOwnership of backend development building applications from concept to completionActive participation in the resolution of production issues and leading efforts towards solutionsSeeking opportunities to feature your work on our tech blog and through internal & external conferences

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience3+ years of experience in developing data and software solutions3+ years of experience in Java and streaming technology such as Kafka2+ years of experience in Spark2+ years of experience in building data pipelines in the cloud with tools like S3, Hadoop, and Hive, and working with Petabytes of dataEnthusiasm in seeking solutions for data engineering problemsA focused developer with a strong sense of ownershipThe capacity to drive individual tasks to completion and production deploymentThe ability to work closely with team members to ensure data solutions are well-built and of high qualityExperience in classic and NoSQL database systems such as Elasticsearch and CassandraFamiliarity with all aspects of data systems including database design, ETL, aggregation strategy, and performance optimization
