Full Stack Senior Software Developer (IC3) – Oracle Life Sciences We are looking for a Senior Development Engineer with a background in distributed systems and cloud services to join as a member of a business-critical Engineering team in Oracle Health / Life Sciences. The services we build will be central to the success of Oracle Health to support our customers assess market viability of new treatments, bring these treatments to market, and ensure the overall long-term wellness and safety of patients world-wide. As a Senior Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building and operating applications, components and services that will range from big data technologies, distributed computing, storage replication to highly efficient data planes, to serve life science customers and advance patient care. You will have the opportunity to work on both architecturally broad and deep software systems engineering problems. You will own development of new components and features, from initial concepts through design, implementation, test, and operation. Your work will be used by some of the biggest companies in the world, impacting millions of patients in our goal to achieve better health outcomes for everyone.
Responsibilities:
Work with cross-functional team members from Architecture, Product Management, Development, QA, Support, Services, and other Central teams to architect, design, implement, deploy and maintain full stack products and services Review requirements, write design documents, implement high quality code, review peer code and write test automation for cloud services Share responsibility with other team members to deploy new code to production.Work with the team to operate services that you have developedActively participate in all aspects of the software engineering process
Qualifications and Experience:
BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.5+ years’ experience of design and implementation of complex software systems using Java platforms, UI stack and Database Excellent knowledge of Java/JEE technologies and frameworks such as JPA, JDBC, Web Services paradigms like REST, and RDBMS system (preferably Oracle)Proven working experience and understanding of at least one of the modern MV* frameworks (Angular, React/Redux, and Knockout)Understand and be able to create Responsive UI elements either by hand (grid or flex box layout), or leveraging a framework like FoundationExcellent knowledge in some these technologies: Oracle JET, JQuery, Knockout JS, Preact/React and LESS/SASSExperience with Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes.Experience working on cloud services with modern cloud technologies.Aptitude for problem solvingExcellent time management, communication skills and a great team playerExperience with massively scalable systems is a plusExperience working with healthcare systems or medical data is a plus

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
