Apptech Group is urgently looking for Data Architect/SQL developer for one of our premium clients in WA.

Key Responsibilities:

Contractor will work with staff to architect and implement cloud technologies, such as designing and setting up a Power BI environment for the organization. Contractor will need to be familiar with Azure data-related constructs and tools. Contractor will need to be proficient in middle-tier scripting languages, such as PowerShell and Python.

Work includes: Analyze current state of client's system and gather requirements. Analyze the current system. Assess need. Work with the Data Services team to understand purpose and processes. Gather requirements. Architect solution Work with the Data Services team and business stakeholders to architect solution. Implement a solution. Solutions will be developed using an agreed upon, maintainable framework. Test solution Work with the Data Services team and business stakeholders to test solution. Document processes. Provide knowledge transfer as needed. Contractor will work with Data Services staff to architect and implement an on-prem data infrastructure and reporting solution. The solution will consist of staging tables, star schemas, and cubes feeding canned and self-service reports, which currently source data from the AFRS data model along with other conformed areas of business. Contractor will need to be proficient in on-prem data constructs and tools, such as Transact SQL, SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS. Work includes: Analyze current state of client's systems and gather requirements. Analyze current systems. Assess need. Work with the Data Services team to understand purpose and processes. Gather requirements. Architect solution Work with the Data Services team and business stakeholders to architect solutions. Implement a solution. Solutions will be developed using an agreed upon, maintainable framework. Test solution Work with the Data Services team and business stakeholders to test solutions. Document processes. Provide knowledge transfer as needed. Address team technical debt within Data Services canned and self-service reporting infrastructure. Examples include re architecting/speeding up slow reporting systems, refactoring SSAS solutions, rearchitecting/refactoring slow data loading systems, etc. For all assigned work products, work includes: Analyze current system, assess need, and gather requirements. Design solution. Review designed solution with Data Services staff. Implement Test solution. Document processes. Provide knowledge transfer as needed. Create/refactor Power BI, and SSRS reports. For each assigned work product, work includes: Analyze current state and gather requirements.

For all development work related to the above three deliverables, the following responsibilities are expected:

Work activities are to be performed in coordination with the Data Services Team. Work will be overseen and tracked in Data Services DevOps environment. All work products will be designed, implemented, and maintained in an efficient, reusable, and reliable manner using standards. Work will be coordinated with and overseen by Data Services to ensure expectations are met for timeliness and quality of provided solutions.
