Windows Developer/Troubleshooter Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows Developer/Troubleshooter to join our software development team. This role demands a strong background in C, C++, and C# programming, with a deep understanding of the Windows 10 operating system, including its core components. The successful candidate will be involved in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications and system-level software for the Windows 10 platform.
Responsibilities and DutiesDevelop and maintain system-level software and applications for Windows 10 using C, C++, and C#. Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, including those related to system-level components.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate, implement, and optimize Windows 10 features and updates.Stay current with Windows 10 developments, updates, and best practices.Optimize applications for performance and compatibility with various Windows 10 versions.Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's knowledge base.Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities.Document development processes and technical solutions.
Required Skills and QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in Windows system-level development.Proficiency in C, C++, and C#, with a strong understanding of the .NET framework.Extensive knowledge of Windows 10 architecture, APIs, and system-level components.Ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues.Experience with Agile development methodologies.Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving tech environment.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Preferred SkillsExperience with Windows kernel development. Knowledge of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Universal Windows Platform (UWP).Familiarity with SQL, databases, and cloud services (Azure or AWS).Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). This is an off-site working from home role; therefore, you must show the responsibility to work alone, yet be available to the larger team for meetings and collaboration.
