Senior PHP Developer

Our client provides leading technology and services to the golf industry across the United States and Great Britain including software that manages tee sheets, points of sale and reservation services with a focus on providing great experience for golf players and smooth operation of golf courses.

As a PHP Developer you will be working as a part of a dedicated Agile team with a high level of responsibility for technical decisions and daily collaboration with the client team abroad.

ResponsibilitiesWork with your team and other stakeholders to define, design, implement, test, and deliver quality software products in a fast-paced environment using WordPress/PHP and other technologyConstruct and support integrations that are easy to manage, maintain, customize, and configureAnalyze system issues and problems and implement solutions rapidly, and formulate/use design patterns wherever applicableSolve performance problems and architectural challengesParticipate in code reviews with the team to ensure that code completely and correctly implements the designSharing the knowledge and learning from the colleaguesFacilitate engineering operation process to ensure high-quality software solutions concerning engineering excellenceBe proactive and propose reasonable decisions

Technical OverviewPrinciples of programming (primitives, if, then, else, for, foreach, etc.)Principles of Object Oriented Programming in PHP (BDD, design patterns, namespaces, interfaces, classes, traits, methods, inheritance, dependency injection)The difference between an object oriented programming language (PHP), and a functional programming language (JavaScript)Test driven developmentWhat would be ideal is someone that has created an application from the ground up without using a framework, library, or CMS
