Database Developer and Administrator

This role is working on a Remote basis within the UK

£60,000 - £65,000 Base Salary (based on experience, skillset and location)

Full Time, Permanent position

An award-winning mutual insurer organization based in the UK is seeking a Database Developer and Administrator to come on board to manage the maintenance, migration and implimentation of their data platforms.

Responsibilities:Designing and developing databases ensuring their stability, reliability, and performanceMigrating data from multiple platforms and products to one overarching systemSupporting the maintenance of existing database systems and developing and suggesting improvementsWorking alongside the Application support team to make sure best practices are upheldBe able to oversee and manage all processes surrounding the databases and be able to communicate this to both technical and non-technical members of staff

Requirements:5+ years of professional Database development and/or administration experienceSQL – Database administration, development, and supportExperience migrating databases and data from multiple systemsProficient in PowerShell, T-SQL, and/or PythonGreat English communication skillsFinancial or Insurance background is ideal, but not requiredDegree level in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experienceMust have the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorships or visas

Whilst this role would be working remotely on the day to day, the successful applicant must still be based in the UK.
