The Role
As a Senior Software Developer, you will work within a supportive team in an agile continuous delivery organization. You will collaborate with designers and engineers to help deliver product capabilities and features to our groundbreaking cloud-based mobile product.
Sauce Labs is looking for a team player with leadership qualities in a strategic component. This could be you, specifically, if you have solid hands-on PHP experience and you’re comfortable developing in multiple languages delivering features that cross cut from web, to backend to mobile. As that technical leader you will work directly with business and engineering leadership across Sauce Labs and with engineers from other leading tech companies.
Responsibilities
Willing to lead and be led as a team player with an eagerness for exploring the unknown and solving complex problems.You'll be working with development and product management teams to define user story acceptance criteria, break down complex stories into tasks, estimates, plan and then deliverSupporting the technical design process by participating in the analysis of technical application requirementsWorking as part of an agile development team, developing new features of our product with quality and efficiencyDesign, build, maintain and code review high traffic, scalable servicesEnd-to-End ownership of what you deliver, including crafting technical specs, writing readable and extensible code, runbooks and post-release metricsFull stack development supporting a TypeScript and Angular front endYou will be contributing to the engineering strategy and development, operation, and maintenance of our productInteracting with architects, UX, and Ops and participating in planning, design, and review meetingsCollaborating with cross-functional team members on all aspects of development and processProviding end-user supportOther duties as assigned by the company’s needsSupport an on-call rotation
Required Skills
Creative problem solver with willingness to learn & grow.Seasoned expert in PHP (7.x +) development working with complex API integration including user management and billing type APIs.Understand design patterns and OOP principlesComfortable working in an AWS/GCP environmentComfortable working with Linux command tools and apache httpdAn asset to have Python, Bash, or other scripting language experience.Exposure to CI/CD pipelines including GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI.You are self-motivated and take ownership of your work (both independently & with peers)
We are a hybrid workplace that recognizes the importance of flexibility while valuing in-person collaboration and relationship building. As a result, Saucers located near an office location must be able and willing to come into the office. Those hired remotely must be able and willing to travel to an office as required by the specific role.
