This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative team supporting critical capital projects for an enterprise company! We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Software Engineer to oversee the setup and maintenance of the extensive transportation inspection vision system. The ideal candidate will be involved in the ongoing development of vision systems and play a crucial role in future projects involving advanced camera technologies and automated systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications.Support and install software applications and operating systems.Participate in testing, including test review, analysis, and test witnessing.Certify software for reliability and quality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify software requirements and project goals.Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

This is a 12+ month auto-renew contract position. It is 100% remote, but you will travel in the eastern U.S. to sites. You must live in one of the eastern U.S. states. The travel for this role is 25-50%. All travel expenses are covered. This is a great opportunity to work within an enterprise environment with a growing team! You will make a true impact.

REQUIRED SKILLS:3+ years of C++ development experience (Linux)Familiarity with other various programming languages and development tools (preferably Python)Experience with custom software Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldExcellent communication Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time Demonstrated innovative and creative decision-making
