UI/UX Developer (US Citizens Only)

Lakarya is hiring for one of our federal ProjectUI UX Developer - US Citizen onlyWashington DC (Remote)Long Term Contract

Specific Duties to Perform:UX Design:Develop wireframe images for use in documentation and development guidance.Create high-fidelity design mock-ups using Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Sketch for documentation and development purposes.Develop interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, InVision, Proto.io, or Adobe XD (preferred).Translate detailed guidance from corporate or agency-defined Style Guides or Design Systems into design compositions.Collaborate with Business Analysts to define User Interface requirements, including messaging for customer review and approval.UI Frameworks:Customize front-end user interfaces to align with agency-defined style guides, project design specifications, and design system requirements.Proficiency in at least three responsive design systems (e.g., Material Design, Foundation, Skeleton) is preferred.Familiarity with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) is preferred.Accessibility:Develop front-end web interfaces that comply with Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA standards.Use screen-reader software to ensure front-end code aligns with Section 508 and WCAG guidance (experience with Freedom Scientific JAWS preferred).Web Development:Proficiency in Angular 2+ (experience with Angular 9+ is preferred).Strong knowledge of custom JavaScript, HTML5, TypeScript, CSS3, and SCSS syntax.Understanding of WAI-ARIA to improve accessibility and meet Section 508 guidelines is preferred.Experience in developing front-ends for Java applications is preferred.In-depth understanding of responsive web design and media queries is required.Knowledge of Adaptive Design is preferred.Experience in manipulating or writing web components is preferred.Position Qualifications/Experience/Education:Over 5 years of experience in UX and UI design is preferred.More than 5 years of experience with Angular, Bootstrap, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5.Experience in creating wireframes and high-fidelity mockups.Experience in developing interactive prototypes.Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a security clearance.
