Job Summary:
Our ServiceNow Implementation & Integration Specialist will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow and custom APIs to facilitate seamless integration between ServiceNow (or other GRC-related platforms) and external systems. Responsibilities for this role include a combination of technical expertise, collaboration with stakeholders, direct client communication, problem-solving, and project management skills to deliver high-quality ServiceNow Implementations and API solutions that meet client requirements and enhance system functionality.
This role is multi-disciplinary as it is expected that you provide consulting/implementation services for the ServiceNow IRM/GRC suite of products and integration services as needed.
Key ResponsibilitiesAPI Design, Development and Deployment:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design APIs that enable efficient data and functionality exchange.Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable integrations using best practices and ensuring seamless data flow between ServiceNow and other systems.Specialize in designing and developing ServiceNow integrations with various external systems.Coordinate the deployment of integrations to different environments, including development, testing, staging, and production. Follow implementation processes to ensure smooth and efficient deployments.Testing and Quality Assurance:Develop and execute test plans to ensure integrations meet client expectations and requirements.Perform debugging and testing of integrations in different environments.Documentation:Create comprehensive documentation for integrations, including requirements gathering, walkthroughs and technical guides for administrators and users.Security and Authentication:Stay current with security best practices.Implement appropriate authentication mechanisms and encryption protocols to secure data exchange.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with client and internal teams, product managers, and stakeholders to understand and document requirements.Communicate progress via regular status updates which may include project tasks, key decisions, issues, risks, etc.Collaborate with ServiceNow administrators and developers to ensure integration best practices.Contribute to create end-user documentation highlighting the business context of the integration (i.e., playbooks)Share insights, best practices, and lessons learned with team members and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
This is largely a client-facing role and may require additional responsibilities per project depending on client needs or requirements.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and/or Certified Application Developer.ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certification(s) (ITSM, IRM, etc.) is a plus.Proven experience working with APIs.Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for API development (e.g., Python, JavaScript, XML, JSON).Experience with cloud services providers such as Google Cloud and AWS.Extensive experience with ServiceNow API development and integration tools.Proficient with API standards and technologies, including REST and SOAP, and understanding of HTTP/HTTPSExperience with creating end user and administrative documentation.Knowledge of security best practices and authentication methods.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).General understanding of relational databases and querying.General understanding of data structures.Experience with Linux/Ubuntu/CLI.Experience with GRC platforms such as ServiceNow, Riskonnect (Salesforce), Archer, or Onspring is highly desirable.Proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and designing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform.Experience with the GRC processes and a fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to delegate work and coordinate team tasking and activities andStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
