Are you passionate about creating high-quality software and eager to take on the challenge of working with a complex desktop application? Join the ShareGate migration tool team, where you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our flagship ShareGate desktop application.

So, what will your new role look like?  

You will be contributing to the ongoing success and evolution of ShareGate’s Migration Tool, a vital tool for countless businesses worldwide. As a software developer on our team, you will be at the forefront of ShareGate's modernization, ensuring our application remains a top-tier solution for migration needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

Contributing to ongoing improvements and developing new features to enhance the functionality and user experience of the ShareGate desktop application. Collaborating directly with the Product Manager and Product Designer to align development efforts with our product vision and user needs, ensuring a seamless integration of features and improvements. Updating and refactoring existing code to meet modern standards, ensuring our application remains cutting-edge and efficient. Continuously improving our test suites to maintain optimal performance and reliability. Assisting our support team in investigating complex technical issues.

Your contributions will directly affect thousands of users, helping them streamline their migration process.

A typical week? 

As a member of one of our Scrum teams, you'll enjoy a lightweight but efficient process that keeps you focused and productive.

We aim to have the following balance:

Researching, learning and developing (new and incremental value):  60%. Presenting and sharing knowledge with colleagues (day-to-day delivery rituals, collaboration with the product manager and product designer): 20%. Helping and supporting your peers and customers (improving team workflows and processes, investigating complex support escalations, monitoring our systems): 20%.

You will tackle challenging projects that will push your skills and offer countless opportunities for continuous learning and development.

What does your future team look like?  

You will be joining a team of 5 full-stack developers and a product manager, expanding. This team is part of the larger ShareGate Migration department, which consists of 5 development teams, working closely with our principal developers and architects. No stuffy suits here-just a supportive and friendly environment where everyone pitches in.

What are the next opportunities awaiting your team? 

ShareGate Migration at Workleap is currently undergoing renewed business investment and the Email Copy/Google Migration teams are challenged with several exciting and key initiatives to provide increasing value to our customers.

Qualifications

Proven experience in developing and maintaining consumer or enterprise desktop applications in C#/.NET; Strong knowledge of WPF and Dependency Injection (DI) principles; Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges; Ability to communicate effectively, take responsibility, and foster collaboration by actively listening to others and providing clear, proactive updates; Experience integrating with the Microsoft API ecosystem a plus (Graph SDK, MSAL, EWS, SharePoint CSOM / REST, etc.); Experience integrating with the Google API platform gets you bonus points.
