Senior Backend Developer

Job DescriptionYou are a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer who has a deep understanding of backend development frameworks, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. You are also proficient in .NET or TypeScript and possess a strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.Proven experience as a Principal or Senior Backend Developer with at least 6+ years of experience in software development or a related field.Demonstrated expertise in building Web Applications, Enterprise Applications, Web Services, and Management at scale.Deep expertise in .NET, TypeScript or other related technologies.Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, including: linear algebra, technology-specific algorithms, and matrix manipulation, among others.Proficiency in multiple design patterns, including Software design patterns and architectural design patterns (such as API Gateway, CQRS, Microservices, Sagas, etc.)Strong skills in systems design, with a hands-on, code-first approach to application development.Critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills and great attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with good written and verbal communication skills in English.Excellent social, communication, and presentation skills for presenting both business-oriented solutions and advanced technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Additional Skills:Experience with React is a plus but not mandatory.Display flexibility and adaptability, capable of switching into multiple roles as needed.An eye for new opportunities and technologies that can benefit our customers in areas such as scalability, delivery, quality, and cost.Professional experience analyzing code for weaknesses and errors and overseeing plans to improve them.

Responsibilities:Design and implement robust and efficient systems architecture solutions.Apply various software and architectural design patterns to solve complex problems.Maintain a hands-on, code-first approach to application development.Recommend and implement best-in-class libraries and frameworks.Develop and maintain backend components and services, ensuring they align with business objectives.Present technical solutions to the board and other stakeholders.Defend technical decisions and demonstrate the value and impact of solutions on the company.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of backend services.Mentor and support team members to foster growth and knowledge sharing.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.Align technology initiatives with business objectives to deliver maximum value.Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by taking on multiple roles as needed.Make informed and strategic decisions to drive technical excellence.
