For 30+ years, our software has helped leading design firms to drive efficiency and growth through our industry-leading digital platform featuring an all-in-one project management system, client collaboration portal, product sourcing, tools, and designer-specific accounting software. 

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity as we are amid a technology transformation that will touch almost every aspect of the product lifecycle, from ideation to development to operations, and everything around it and in between. This opportunity is for an expert C# Developer to join our growing team. We are looking for a candidate who is confident, willing, and eager to learn fast, and grow with the company. The right candidate will be familiar with Microsoft development technologies.

As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of software developers as they navigate the software development lifecycle for various Studio Designer projects. You'll be joining our research and development team, reporting directly to a Director of Developer. We are looking for an experienced professional who will oversee software development projects, write clean and efficient code, and provide technical leadership to a team of developers. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software solutions.

What You'll Do

Work with and oversee a team of software developers developing information systems for Studio Designer's website.Partner and communicate effectively within a team and cross-functionally with Product Management, Design, and Architecture to create cutting edge mobile-first, SaaS-based products.Determine operational feasibility of customer requests by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users and coworkers, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.Mentor junior and mid-level team members to allow for skill and knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.Establish and oversee the documentation and development of solutions as the team develops UML diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.Monitor system performance and perform predictive maintenance.Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.Ensure software is updated with latest features.Protect Studio Designer operations by keeping information confidential.Accomplish development and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Design overall project vision and strategy and ensure that Studio Designer releases are high quality and meet our customers' needs.Set and promote necessary security protocols and standards.

What You'll Need

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.7+ years professional software development experience in SaaS and B2B environment.Experience with UML, Rational Unified Process, or other OO development methodology.Proficiency with object-oriented development and design patterns.Strong experience and solid understanding of any of the following: Angular, React, AJAX, JSON, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, or another web-based UI stack.Self-motivation to work within a remote work environment.Strong experience utilizing hands-on development practices using C#, Web Services, REST APIs, and ASP.NET.Previous experience with SQL, stored procedures, and SQL Server or other relational database systems.Previous experience with source control systems and automated testing.Knowledge of CICD (continuous integration and continuous deployment).Ability to work transparently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle; from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery, and maintenance.Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications.Experience with AWS or other major cloud providers.Experience developing development platforms and services (e.g., microservices, APIs)Ability to translate Studio Designer's customer needs into technical specifics and develop software architecture and design based on those requirements.Strong organization and time management skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to lead others.Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties.

What You'll Ideally Have

Large-scale, cloud-based development with SOA or micro-servicesAngular, HTML5, CSS3.NET CoreMobile web development experienceNET MVC 3+NET or Entity FrameworkTesting frameworks such as NUnit, Spec Flow, Web Driver, or JasmineExperience using the following workplace platformsAzure DevOps or Jira.Slack and Zoom.Experience in mission-critical systems, such as electronic payments, payroll processing, or other heavily regulated industries is a plus.Knowledge of the interior design industry is a plus but not required.

Base pay range

$125,000—$135,000 USD
