Job purposeYour expertise as a Web Developer is an essential addition to our team in Ireland, as we seek to expand and achieve further success. You will have experience building websites and an understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and back-end languages. You will work both independently and as part of a team, and your ability to execute these tasks effectively is crucial to the growth and prosperity of our organisation.
Key responsibilitiesPlan, develop, test, document, design implementations as part of a team.Manage the complete software development process from conception to deployment.Building and maintaining end-to-end systems, optimised for speed and scale.Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.Regularly help with internal projects, developing general modules that can be used by a wide range of clients and projects.A keen eye for detail with a performance and quality-first approach.Stay up to date with the terminology, concepts, and best practices for coding mobile apps.Collaborate across time zones with internal departments to identify and plan for new features.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following skills and qualificationsBachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology or engineering.3+ years of experience working with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.Basic knowledge of LAMP.Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.Familiarity with CMS systems, especially Joomla and WordPress, and third-party API/Plug-in integration.Thorough understanding of cross-browser development and responsive design techniques.Passion to create high-quality web pages.Ability to estimate/forecast time to complete specified project tasks.Be a team player and a quick learner, able to hit the ground running.
LocationThis is a full-time remote position based in Ireland. At present, we do not have a physical office and our local director is based in Cork, making this location ideal, but we will consider any applicant within Ireland.
