Job Title: Power Platform DeveloperLocation: Remote
There is a potential for additional Power Platform work outside the Automated Research Tracking System to be determined at the discretion of the State of Minnesota and added with a future Amendment to the Work Order.At a high level, the resource will assist in designing the overall architecture; develop and integrate PowerApps (Canvas App and Power Pages) with Power Automate, SQL Server Database, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Teams; and provide knowledge sharing with MNIT developers.
Sample Tasks1. Setup DEV environment with connection to SQL Server DEV environment (all within standards of MNIT and MnDOT). 2. Analyze and implement business requirements (using environments determined by MNIT and MnDOT).3. Develop a Canvas App for an internal project tracking application. 4. Develop Power Pages to create an external website or application. 5. Develop Power Automate for several processes/components of the Project Tracking Console. 6. Develop a front-end Customer Relationship Management Portal connecting to the MnDOT Active Directory and various other databases. 7. Integrate Canvas App, Power Pages, and Power Automate with SQL Server database and Azure Active Directory. 8. Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices.9. Provide knowledge transfer.
Desired Skills• Three (3) years’ experience in Microsoft (MS) PowerApps development.o Microsoft (MS) Infopath development experience substitutes for one year.• Three (3) years’ experience in Microsoft (MS) Power Automate development.o Microsoft (MS) Flow development experience substitutes for one year.• One (1) year experience in Microsoft (MS) Power Pages Developer role. • One (1) year experience working with Microsoft (MS) Premium Connectors to external databases. • Two (2) engagements with each lasting more than six (6) months in PowerApps Developer role.• Ability to design and develop complex model-driven and canvas apps using advanced techniques like component reusability, data integration, and custom controls. • Previous experience in Power Apps component framework (PCF) for building reusable UI components and extending model-driven apps. • Skills in integrating Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages with other Microsoft products like SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure, Teams, and with various data sources, APIs and external systems. • Ability to design and develop complex Power Pages websites using advanced techniques like custom authentication, data integration and content management. • Previous experience in Power Pages features and capabilities, such as prebuilt templates, role-based access control, and content delivery network support. • Experience in mentoring other developers on Power Automate and PowerApps OR new programming language or framework. • Two (2) years’ experience in JAVA or .NET or C# development.
