Situation for Request Remote We are seeking a Lead Developer with expertise in Scala (Playframework, Slick, PostgreSQL), and TypeScript (React, redux, Webpack). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable web applications and a passion for leading a team of developers to deliver high-quality software. Knowledge of Rust is a bonus as some services are written in Rust.

Required activities • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Scala (Play Framework, Slick) and TypeScript (React, Webpack).• Ensure the robustness, performance, and scalability of the applications.• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.• Collaborate with data science team.• Implement best practices in software development, including continuous integration and deployment using Jenkins.• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the development lifecycle.• Contribute to the architecture and design of the overall software system. Required skills

Required Skills and Qualifications:• 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Scala and TypeScript.• Proficiency with Play Framework, Slick, and PostgreSQL.• Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and Webpack.• Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring a team of developers.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns.• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of Rust and experience with services written in Rust.• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (we're moving to AWS)• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
