H1B transfers are OK, but Tavant GC process starts only 24-months after joining.Location: Santa Monica, CA (Local candidates preferred, but remote OK)We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic team in Santa Monica. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend service development, with proficiency in Java and related technologies. Our environment leverages AWS services extensively, requiring familiarity with cloud providers and various database systems.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain backend services using Java, with a focus on scalability and performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Investigate technical components, propose solutions, and take ownership from inception to delivery.Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.Drive consensus on backend development best practices and technologies.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and coding backend services.Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.Proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases.Familiarity with API development and microservices architecture.Solid understanding of Java, including Spring Framework and Spring Boot.Experience with reactive programming in Java (Reactive Java).Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience with Python for legacy system integration.Familiarity with front-end technologies like React and JavaScript.Screening Process:There be quizzes and coding tests involved for all candidates both at the screening level and after submission, at the client.
