YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

As a lead engineer on the team, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of fellow Nunas, build foundational tools/services which will shape the future of Nuna. A successful candidate will collaborate with engineering teams to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization across the development lifecycle, from coding to deployment.

Lead the design, development, and implementation of tools and automation frameworks that improve developer productivity, streamline development workflows, and enhance code qualityArchitect scalable and extensible systems and platforms that enable seamless integration of third-party tools, CI/CD deployment pipelines, and monitoring solutionsDrive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies across engineering teams, ensuring consistency, reliability, and maintainability of codebasesMentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovationEvaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends in the developer productivity landscape, and make recommendations for adoption based on their potential to improve efficiency and effectivenessCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Quality Assurance, and DevOps to align Developer Productivity initiatives with business objectives and strategic priorities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a focus on developer productivity, tooling, and automationProficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript, and experience with modern software development frameworks and toolsSolid understanding of cloud development and proficiency with Infra-as-Code technologiesExperience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), build systems, and package managersExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like KubernetesSolid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, agile practices, and DevOps principlesExcellent leadership and collaboration skills to drive consensus on technical decisions and priorities cross-functionallyPassion for mentoring and coaching engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related fieldContributes to open-source projects or publications in relevant conferences or journalsAbility to adjust quickly to a fast-paced startup environmentFamiliarity with US Healthcare and a desire to improve it

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $188,000 to $230,750. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
