What You'll Do
The Avalara NetSuite Developer works with a team to enhance the NetSuite environment by building custom solutions and enhancements, with a goal of improving business efficiency and effectiveness. The Avalara NetSuite Developer works closely with different functional areas across the organization to understanding their business needs, and designing and implementing solutions to meet those needs.
Provide customized, technical NetSuite solutions for given set of requirementsMake recommendations for technical approach for a given NetSuite development and enhancement requestsLeverage SuiteScript 2.0 and SuiteFlow in accordance with best practices to deliver technical solutionsAdhere to Source Code best practices for maintaining SuiteScript and for migrating solutions between NetSuite environmentsMaintain detailed documentation for NetSuite development and enhancementsWork with end users to fully test existing NetSuite functionality and enhancementsProvide hands-on support for the deployment and validation of NetSuite customizations to ProductionTroubleshoot and debug NetSuite Production issues, while adhering to SOX compliance principlesDesign and create custom saved searches and financial reportsAbility to collaborate across multiple time zones as and when required
What You'll Need to be Successful
5+ years of hands-on experience with development in NetSuite OneWorldDelivered many NetSuite technical solutions and enhancements across all facets of order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-reportDelivered NetSuite technical solutions leverage SuiteScript 2.0 for all types of SuiteScript (UserEvent, Client, RESTlet, Suitelet, Map/Reduce, etc) as well as SuiteFlowAbility to customize and enhance NetSuite while considering the impact on current system configurationTrack record of gathering business requirements and delivering highly technical NetSuite solutions from those requirementsUnderstanding of Source Code best practices, ideally leveraging GitLab or similar platformAbility to thoroughly document technical solutions and process for migrating solutions between different NetSuite environments.Experience with SuiteCloud Development Framework is a plusExperience with SaaS, subscription, or other recurring revenue business models in a high-volume environment is a plusUnderstanding of NetSuite integration tools and processes; exposure to Dell Boomi is a plusCertified NetSuite Developer is a plusBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalentPreferably from a product company.
