About This Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Python developer to join our mission-driven team of lawyers and software developers and to help us transform the delivery of legal help with AI and document automation. The new team member will help us deliver document automation solutions for businesses, law firms, nonprofit legal aid providers, courts, and governments. The primary task will be to support our Docassemble-based automation work with custom APIs and advanced solutions and assisting with generative AI integrations. The team member may also take the lead role on building the client-facing document automation solution, which may include working directly with clients around the world. Required qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, IT and information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience 3 years of experience coding in Python At least 3 years of professional software development experience in any language Experience working with and building integrations with third-party APIs. For example: Authentication with OAuth Payment integrations with Stripe Experience with SQL and database administration Experience using GitHub and the Linux command line

Preferred, but not Required:

Automated testing and unit testing Docker GitHub actions Amazon Web Services Building integrated solutions with OpenAI GPT-3.5 and 4 JavaScript Past work with lawyers, law firms, or the financial industry Document automation and guided interview authoring, in a platform such as Docassemble, HotDocs, Xpressdox, Contract Express, A2J Author, or Formstack Our work is mostly in the Docassemble platform, which is a Python/Flask web framework for document automation. Experience with Docassemble would be an unexpected bonus!
