We know that “the coolest capital in the world” also is home to some of the coolest IT professionals in the world and here is your chance to grab one of the coolest contracts on offer in Wellington!Are you a very well experienced .NET developer looking for a new contract with an amazing software PRODUCT development organisation building custom software solutions using world leading UI/UX and application development practices?We have heard that the “Beehive” was designed on the back of a napkin as a bit of a joke, and the designer never really intended it to be built … and whilst we love this story, and admire the spirit and bravery of all involved, we are looking for 2 x senior .NET Developers who can imagine and create great web and mobile applications with just a tiny bit more rigour and structure than what can be achieved on the back of an envelope.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS5+ years as a .NET developer ideally with a PRODUCT background Experience developing web and mobile apps utilising micro-services architecture approachMoving large code base product from AWS to AZURE and utilising mircoservices architectureExperience with AWS and AZURE and product migration will be highly regardedExperience in working in teams building custom developed digital productsAbility to focus on and deliver on customer needsExperience working in Agile environmentsExceptional attention to detailWell developed listening, critical thinking and communication skillThorough analytical abilityComfortable working in a dynamic environment where at times, not everything is known up front

PROJECT CONTEXT

This role is to join an an existing high performing team, made up of team members from our organisation (PhoenixDX), as well as team members from the end client organisation. There are significant digital products in production with 24/7 usage profiles and the task is to assist with the design and build of additional significant functionality that will complement the additional digital products. Please note - this project is NOT limited to adding minor features to the existing products.

This project will be focussed on a combination of activities including taking an existing solution and transitioning it over to a more modern architecture and also building an entirely separate but tightly integrated, complementary and highly significant block of additional functionality to the group of digital products. This role will suit a mature professional who is comfortable working in a high stakes and fast moving and agile environment.The work is mostly on-site at the client office location in Wellington.This role will suit a person who is a team player and happy to take direction and work collaboratively.The development team are located in different time-zones so at times, there can be early and late meetings to ensure all parties are working in alignment.

THE APPLICATION

The application is related to membership management. Think member sign up, setting up profiles, choosing subscription levels, payments, increasing or decreasing membership levels. Experience with prior involvement with similar mobile applications will be greatly valued.

SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the full software design life cycle. They should have experience in designing, coding, testing and consistently managing applications They should be comfortable coding in a number of languages and have an ability to test code in order to maintain high-quality code. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field4+ years of experience working with .NET or relevant experiencesExperience developing web-based applications in C#, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript/ASP, or .NETExperience working with MS SQL Server and MySQL Knowledge of practices and procedures for full software design life cycleExperience working in agile development environment
