About the Role:Our client is seeking a talented ServiceNow Developer to build, maintain, and administer ServiceNow modules, ensuring they are mobile-friendly, scalable, and high-performing. This role involves working in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborating closely with a dedicated Service Management/ServiceNow team.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development:- Design, develop, and implement new ServiceNow applications and enhancements.- Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate the rollout of new applications and modules.- Develop and implement complex workflows and automate business processes.- Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems and applications using REST and SOAP APIs.
Platform Maintenance:- Implement patches, upgrades, and new releases of the ServiceNow platform.- Provide ongoing support and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform.- Perform code reviews to ensure best practices and standards are followed.
Collaboration and Communication:- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Participate in Scrum meetings and follow Agile development processes.- Ensure timely updates and proactive communication with management and customers.
Quality Assurance and Documentation:- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate testing procedures.- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.- Propose and implement enhancements to the ServiceNow platform to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:- Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:- 5+ years working on the ServiceNow platform.- 3+ years of experience in front-end web development and design.- Experience implementing systems using Agile/Scrum methodology.
Certifications:- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) with a current active credential.- ITILv4 certification preferred (ITILv3 would also be considered).- (Nice to have) ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) for ITSM, CSM, ITAM, or SPM modules.
Skills:- Proficiency in ServiceNow platform (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, etc.).- Scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS).- Knowledge of web technologies (AJAX, XML, JSON).- Strong organizational and communication skills.- Ability to balance multiple projects and reassess priorities in a fast-paced environment.- Solid understanding of software development processes and software usability.- Proven track record of delivering enterprise mobile-friendly ServiceNow modules.- Familiarity with Agile Project Management and Scrum Framework.
