In the Customer Service & Support (CSS) team we are looking for people with a passion for delivering customer success. As a Technical Support Engineer you will own, troubleshoot and solve customer technical issues. You review, investigate and solve customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices
Readiness
You participate in communities with peer delivery roles. You develop specific technical and professional proficiency to enable you to understand and resolve customer issues, through training and readiness.
Product/Process Improvement
You identify potential product defects and provide feedback to more senior engineers, contributing to Microsoft product improvements
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must have hands on Customer Support or Technical Consulting or Software Development experience or equivalent.Application development & debugging experience with one or more languages or frameworks: Java, Node, Python, PHP and Ruby, .NET Core, ASP.NET, WordPress, Joomla and Drupal.Understanding of programming concepts such as call stacks, threading, synchronization, performance-related concepts and debugging.Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, an ability to use various data collection tools and methodologies to analyze problems, determine root cause and develop solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Troubleshooting Experience in one of the following: Windows IIS, Linux, Container, Azure Web Apps, Customer Docker Images.Deep experience with Open-Source Web technologies such as Linux, NGNIX, Apache, Java, Node, Python, PHP and Ruby.Troubleshooting skills in Network or Active Directory Authentication.Familiarity with packet sniffers: Fiddler, Network Monitor or Wireshark.Familiarity with debugging tools to analyze code issues: Windbg, Visual Studio, etc..
Language Qualification
English Language: confident in reading, writing and speaking.
Knowledge of additional languages will a plus.
