OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled GIS Engineer with a strong background in JavaScript full-stackdevelopment and extensive experience in geographic information systems (GIS). The idealcandidate will have proven expertise in developing web and mobile applications for urbanplanning and spatial analysis using various GIS tools and technologies.

ResponsibilitiesArcGIS and QGIS Analysis:• Develop and manage geospatial databases using ArcGIS, QGIS, and other relevantplatforms.• Create and maintain digital maps and story maps for urban planning and analysis.• Conduct spatial analysis and create visualizations to support planning and decision making processes.• Develop custom GIS tools and extensions by writing scripts and programs.• Collaborate with urban planners and analysts to understand their GIS needs and providetechnical solutions.

GIS Full-Stack Development:• Design, develop, and implement full-stack GIS applications using JavaScript, React,Node.js, and other relevant technologies.• Build and maintain scalable and high-performance web applications and APIs.• Integrate GIS functionalities with backend services to create interactive, user-focusedapplications.• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly and visually appealinginterfaces.• Ensure cross-platform optimization for mobile and desktop.• Maintain code integrity and organization, including data security and protection.

QualificationsTechnical Skills:• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, orrelated field.• Profound knowledge of JavaScript, including frameworks such as React and Node.js.• Strong experience with GIS technologies such as ArcGIS and QGIS.• Experience with web mapping technologies and spatial databases.• Familiarity with RESTful services and APIs.• Knowledge of data structures, system design, and algorithms.
