Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge and experience in Java, JavaScript, Oracle Database, XML, Angular, and IBM WebSphere MQ, along with familiarity with ISO20022 and various development tools. You will be responsible for developing, debugging, and maintaining high-quality software solutions while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications.Write efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.Analyze and understand existing codebases to troubleshoot and enhance functionality.Develop and maintain front-end applications using Angular and JavaScript.Write and optimize complex queries for Oracle databases and troubleshoot database-related issues.Marshal and unmarshal XML messages and work with XSLT transformations.Utilize IBM WebSphere MQ for messaging and integration tasks.Collaborate with product managers and designers to create user-friendly solutions.Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.Qualifications and Skills:Generic Skill Sets:Java: Expert level in writing, analyzing, and debugging code.Oracle: Expert in Oracle database knowledge, including writing efficient queries and troubleshooting.IBM WebSphere MQ: Proficient in using and troubleshooting MQ.XML & XSLT: Expert in XML, including marshalling and unmarshalling messages.Web Services: Experience in developing and maintaining web services.Angular/JavaScript: Expert in Angular, JavaScript, JQuery, and HTML.UNIX and Windows: Strong knowledge of both operating systems.eWire-Specific Skill Sets:Federal Reserve Fedwire settlement platform: Experience preferred.Federal Reserve Fedwire ISO 20022: Knowledge is a plus.Money transfer business: Understanding is beneficial.Core banking knowledge: Familiarity with systems such as IBS and HORIZON.U.S. money transfer regulations: Knowledge is helpful.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Thorough understanding of structured programming technology and methodologies.Strong knowledge of appropriate operating systems, programming languages, and development tools.Considerable experience with performance tuning.Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.Project management experience.Ability to operate independently and exhibit solid analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Client-focused with the ability to establish credibility and build relationships.Capable of assessing requirements, alternatives, and risks/benefits for various projects.Ability to develop project plans using approved project management software.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and the public.
