About the position:We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Maintenance Developer with expertise in PHP, CodeIgniter, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap2, and a strong understanding of Git to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Backend Maintenance Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of the server-side of our web and mobile applications. Your role will involve proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing updates to maintain and improve our existing software solutions. Initial tasks will involve learning the existing system by reviewing (including code review) of current pipeline of tasks, understanding recurring problems, and providing some ongoing oversight/QA/regression testing of tickets touching maintenance items to identify problems and formulate architectural solutions to those problems.

Key Responsibilities:Proactively monitor and maintain the server-side components of web and mobile applications developed in PHP using the CodeIgniter framework.Identify and resolve performance, security, and stability issues to ensure uninterrupted operation.Design, implement, and optimize APIs for data retrieval and manipulation, with an emphasis on maintaining compatibility.Utilize MySQL for database maintenance, schema updates, and query optimization.Implement JavaScript and jQuery updates to enhance interactivity and user experience.Maintain and update Bootstrap2 elements for a consistent and visually appealing UI.Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure ongoing compatibility and a seamless user experience.Utilize Git for version control, tracking changes, and collaborating effectively with the development team.Stay updated on emerging backend development trends and best practices to inform maintenance decisions.Document changes and updates thoroughly for future reference.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address maintenance requests and prioritize improvements. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for maintaining hosted applications.Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for maintenance purposes.Familiarity with MVC and microservices architecture.Experience with DevOps practices and tools.Understanding of security best practices in backend maintenance.

Required KnowledgeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a Backend Maintenance Developer with expertise in PHP, CodeIgniter, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap2, and a strong understanding of Git.Strong proficiency in PHP, with a focus on the CodeIgniter framework.Experience with web frameworks and libraries, such as JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap2.Proficiency in database maintenance and optimization, especially with MySQL.Familiarity with RESTful API maintenance and updates.Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work in an Agile development environment.Advanced English
