Senior PHP Developer with DevOps Expertise

Summary of the business: Dwelly is an AI-enabled UK residential lettings player. We are taking existing (one might call them long unchanged) agencies processes and reengineering them to significantly elevate client experiences and improve efficiency.

We kicked off our operations in Yorkshire - where our HQ is - and are currently a team of 25.

We are in a very active stage of Product Development and are opening doors to you, Senior PHP Developer!

Location: Remotely with a preference for applicants within ±2 hours of the London to New York time zones.

Role Overview: Join our tech team as a crucial member, where you will be primarily responsible for the development and operations of our server-side infrastructure. Working directly with CTO, you will be integral in scaling our products and ensuring their reliability. Your role will involve hands-on coding (90%) and collaborative strategic planning (10%).

Key Responsibilities:Develop robust server-side applications using PHP;Design and implement scalable server architectures and infrastructures;Lead the CI/CD pipeline setup and management;Manage and optimise SQL databases;Create automated test suites to ensure product reliability;Select and manage tools for effective system monitoring, reflecting best practices.

Required Technical Skills:Expertise in PHP (knowledge in Python is a strong plus);Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes;Experience in designing and managing automated CI/CD workflows;Strong understanding of both relational and non-relational databases.

Professional Attributes:At least 4 years of experience in backend development with at least 2 years of experience involving DevOps practices, preferably in high-traffic environments.

Soft Skills:Demonstrated ability to work independently and make informed decisions quickly;A proactive mindset with a track record of initiative and innovation in a previous technical role;Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.Development Methodology: Agile/Scrum
