Java Developer

Description You will work in a dedicated team together with the Client's team (Germany) to further develop digital products and markets for businesses and customers of InsurTech. The core of the system is realized by means of an elastic, automatically scaling infrastructure, which is located in a cloud environment.

Job Responsibilities Work in one of our cross-functional teams made up of developers, product managers, and specialists; Create and develop backend applications and services for our platform participants;Apply software engineering best practices;Collaborate with experts from various disciplines and continuously shape a better digital product with us for all participants;Do pair programming sessions and support other developers to share know-how. Job Requirements A DevOps attitude. You build it, you run it, you fix it;Profound experience in the JAVA (11/17) environment preferably with Kotlin;Working with the Spring framework, ideally with Spring Boot;Unit testing with Junit;Good knowledge/experience in various AWS services;Willingness to leave code a little better than found;Willingness to pair up on development tasks as default;Experience with database management systems. (SQL and NoSQL);An awareness of security practices for web and API-centric applications;The use of tools such as GIT, SSH Keys, Unix Command Line, and Continuous Integration (CircleCI) are part of everyday life. Nice to have Create API documentation with Swagger;Working with container services (Docker / Docker-Compose); Having experience in other languages is a big plus;Knowledge or eagerness to learn a cloud-native language like Go would be a huge plus.
