As a Developer, your role will involve crafting a service that serves as a facade for interaction with VmWare virtual machines in Azure, circumventing the use of Express Route. Working closely with Specialized’s FTE Azure team, you’ll actively contribute to task planning and estimation. This includes venturing into unexplored territories by creating experiments and gathering crucial data and statistics—tasks that have not yet been undertaken. The core of your responsibilities lies in handling VMWare ESXi, a pivotal element in the VMware infrastructure suite. A solid understanding of protocols and networking, particularly in the virtual, network, and subnet domains, is imperative for success in this role. Your contributions will be integral to the seamless integration of virtualization technologies within the Azure environment.
Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND technical engineering experience with Strong coding in C#.Expertise in MSBuild for build automation.Familiarity with MS Test Framework for testing applications.Proficient in creating PowerShell scripts for automation.Strong understanding of Git for version control.
Nice to have (or ready to obtain ASAP):Understanding of network development principles, including protocols, virtual machines (VMs), virtual networks (VNets), and subnets.Familiarity with internal Microsoft tools such as OneBranch Pipeline, Ev2, Geneva Portal, monitors, metrics, and dashboards.Experience or readiness to work with KQL (Kusto Query Language).
Overlap Time: We need daily overlap with Redmond (PST) timezone. 1-3 hours in the PST morning should do.
