We are seeking a Developer Advocate to join our growing Developer Relations team. This role is designed for a unique individual with a blend of engineering prowess and a passion for creating high-quality technical content. You will be instrumental in shaping our developer outreach efforts, creating impactful content, and fostering a vibrant community around our product.Your primary mission will be to bridge the gap between the complex world of CKEditor development and front end technology projects. Your work will focus on creating content that will help developers who actively search for answers to the challenges solved by our product as well as inform developers on solving problems posed by Product Owners. You will be pivotal in boosting awareness and adoption of CKEditor by creating compelling, informative, technical content that developers worldwide will be delighted to discover.
What you’ll do:Produce high-quality, technical content targeted at developers facing challenges in rich text editing and content management. Your content will range from blog posts, webinars, tutorials, and guides to diagrams and videos, directly addressing developers' pain points and queries.Combine your front-end developer skills, knowledge of application development processes, and interactions with project owners and stakeholders to bring life to the many features of CKEditor, inspiring developers to consider our product for their content based application needs.Present to technical audiences at technical meetups and conferences.Use data to inform our content efforts, helping evaluate what’s working well and iterating as we learn.Collaborate with engineering and marketing teams to ensure consistent, high-quality content and messaging.Engage with the developer community through forums, social media, and events, acting as CKEditor's face and voice.Help gather feedback and be a Voice of the Developer for product and engineering teams based on community interactions, helping to influence product development and developer experience.In this role, you will spend 25% of your time engaging with developers at events in-person and 75% of your time creating content and recording videos.
What you’ll bring:Exceptional technical writing skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content.Proven experience as a full stack engineer with a strong understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, and at least one front end framework (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc)Empathy for the problems faced by developers and motivated by helping others succeed.Familiarity with SEO, content strategy, and analytics tools to measure content effectiveness.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with a technical audience.Self-motivated, with a creative and analytical mindset.Experience in a developer advocate or relations role, building and engaging developer communities is a plus.Ability to create compelling presentations, video, and written articles with a keen eye to inspire the audience.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
