Back End Developer

Job Description

Phood Solutions is seeking a skilled Back End Developer to join our Technology team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested backend code deployed to AWS using Docker. You will analyze system performance, develop scalable architectures, and lead the expansion of our CI/CD infrastructure. This position requires strong experience with Python, Django Rest Framework, SQL/NoSQL databases, and backend data processing.

Work You'll Do/Responsibilities

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested backend code, deployed to AWS using Docker.Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineersAnalyze systems flow, data usage, and work processes; and investigate problem areasDevelop architectures to meet scalability requirementsAnalyze user requirements to derive technical software design and performance requirementsPlan, track, and manage deliverables on short-term sprints, and long-term software deploymentsTake the lead in expanding our CI/CD infrastructure. Establish rigorous unit and integration testing processes, and incorporate advanced deployment tools to streamline releases to test and production environments.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience7+years of backend software development experience7+ years of experience with PythonFamiliarity with Django Rest FrameworkMust have experience working with SQL and NoSQL Databases (Mysql, Postgres, Elasticsearch)Experience with RESTful, JSON-based APIs and worker/queue architecturesStrongly held beliefs in the value of unit tests and appropriate test coverageAdvanced knowledge of Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), well-documented APIs (GraphQL, REST), and a variety of languages (Java, Python, C/C++)Experience in backend data analysis, pipelines, ML, and processingExperience with designing, building, and debugging APIs and distributed backend systemsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Nice to Have

Experience with Cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience with event/message-driven architecture (Kafka, SQS, et al)Experience with Elasticsearch
