Learn more about VMD culture here: VMD Culture About the Mission You Will Join: You will be supporting the National Science Foundation's Division of Administrative Services, providing Web Development services for systems that facilitate many of the agency's critical day-to-day business operations. Your Impact to the Mission: In this Web Developer role, you will be responsible for updating web content on internal and public facing government websites such as www.nsf.gov and working directly with the customer to support content change needs. This individual will be expected to follow all processes consistently and maintain a high standard for all web work provided to the customer. You will have an opportunity to: Interpret, clarify, and complete web related requests from customers Format various web based publications Update web pages using HTML/CSS/JS and SharePoint/Drupal CMS (text, graphics, layout, light redesign work) Create/maintain standard operating procedures and other technical documentation Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with web standards. Perform Section 508 accessibility checks and remediation to ensure websites are accessible to all users. Experience Needed to Be Successful: 5 years of professional experience in graphic design and web development HTML, CSS, JavaScript Dreamweaver, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator SharePoint, ServiceNow Customer Service Quality Control Experience working remotely and independently Strong understanding web development best practices and ability to provide guidance and suggestions Basic Qualifiers: Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college in computer science or other closely related discipline.
