Project Description
We are looking for candidates to join our team as Software/System Engineer and work on the project related to development and support of client software for modern video streaming service for one of the largest TV providers in the US
Responsibilities
- Deep-dive into technical investigations: for issues identified from different sources like Care, social media, Individual escalations - usually these investigations include log analysis through OpenSearch (Kibana), New Relic, Grafana, and pulled logs from streaming devices.- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of Osprey and Pendant devices as well as BYOD devices such as Rokus, smart TVs, Firestick variants, and mobile devices.- KPI Tracking: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports to assess device and app performance.- Issue Logging: Maintain detailed logs of active issues, including bug-fixes, pending issues, and resolved issues.- Awareness of Issues and Updates: Stay updated with ongoing issues, feature requests, and release schedules. Provide regular updates to relevant teams.- Compatibility Awareness: Maintain knowledge of which device models are compatible with DIRECTV, including their performance capabilities.- Documentation: Ensure all performance logs, issue reports, and updates are accurately documented and easily accessible (usually using JIRA/Confluence).- Collaboration: Work closely with support and development teams to ensure all issues are tracked and prioritized appropriately.- On-Call Support: Participate in a rotational on-call support system to address critical performance issues as they arise.
