Senior Backend Developer

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic Engineering team. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with expertise in the MERN stack and a strong background in database management, particularly MongoDB. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions that power our applications.

Responsibilities:MERN Stack Development:Design, develop, and maintain backend services using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.Database Management:Manage and optimize MongoDB databases, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.Design and implement data models, schema, and indexing strategies.Backend Architecture:Architect and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API specifications and integrate frontend components.Performance Optimization:Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the backend infrastructure.Implement best practices for code optimization and efficiency.Code Quality and Testing:Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.Write unit tests and participate in the creation and maintenance of automated testing processes.What's expected:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when needed.7+ years of professional experience in backend development.Proficiency in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).Strong database management skills, particularly with MongoDB.Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS and GCPStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and testing techniques.US Citizenship or Green CardProfessional demeanor and impeccable written / verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of financial tech platforms
