Senior Frontend Developer

Company:A technology-driven, trading firm trades its own capital at its own risk, engaging in a broad range of asset classes, instruments, and strategies in financial markets worldwide. The environment is one of high expectations, deep curiosity, and thoughtful collaboration.

A small development team within the firm supports multiple web-based GUIs used by traders and IT. Predominantly collaborating online, the team is based in Chicago and requires members to periodically come into the office. The code is written in TypeScript, utilizing Node and Docker for back-end microservices, and React for the front-end.

The team is seeking a Senior JavaScript/TypeScript Engineer to join as they scale to more users within the company. This position offers the opportunity to work on both front-end and back-end code, receive tight feedback from users, and influence the design and architecture of a growing system.

Requirements:Strong software engineering backgroundStrong experience or interest in JavaScript/TypeScript or other object-oriented programmingExperience or interest in performance tuning data-intensive systemsPeriodically come into the Chicago office
