Android Developer (Kotlin)

You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take the lead on innovations and projects.

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for an Android Developer (Kotlin) at NovaSisTek | NovaSysTec. As an Android Developer (Kotlin), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin programming language. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features, debug and fix issues, and optimize application performance. The role also involves staying updated with the latest Android development trends and technologies.

QualificationsStrong proficiency in Kotlin programming language for Android developmentProven experience with Java, C, and C++Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Android Jetpack componentsShould have published and supported one or more Android apps in the Google Play StoreKnowledge of software development principles, including OOP and SOLID principlesExperience with RESTful APIs and JSON/XML parsingUnderstanding of version control systems, particularly GitAbility to write clean, maintainable, and efficient codeStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsGood communication and collaboration skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)Experience with other programming languages, such as Java, is a plusExperience with Android UI/UX design and material design guidelinesExperience with Firebase or other

Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Software Engineering, or a related fieldExperience with other JavaScript frameworks (such as Angular or Vue) and Golang.Experience with back-end development (such as Express.js or Ruby on Rails)Additional qualifications and certifications in Ionic and React are a plus. We also value candidates with experience in software testing, familiarity with Agile methodologies, and knowledge of other programming languages such as Java or Rust.
