Job Description:We are seeking experienced SAS programmer analysts to join a Biostatistical Consulting Unit to provide programming and biostatistical support to research studies in all fields of medicine led by clinicians (including medical residents). The programmer will support internally-funded retrospective research studies, from development of research question, study design and methods, Institutional Review Board (IRB) proposal development and approval; through analytic data base development, data analysis, interpretation of results; to development of abstracts, presentations and publications.
Must Haves:Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health or similarExpert proficiency in SASMinimum 4 years experience in data analytics or a directly related fieldMinimum 2 years experience with study design and statistical methodsMinimum 1 year medical or health analytics experienceMinimum 2 years statistical modeling experience using SAS, R or other advanced statistical packageMinimum 2 years experience working with SQLMinimum 2 years experience with ExcelMinimum 1 year statistical consulting experience Plusses:SAS Advanced Programming Professional certified or SAS Base Programming Specialist certifiedStrong statistical experienceExperience writing methods sections and conducting power analyses for grant proposalsPublications experience as an author in medical or scientific journals
