Senior Software Developer (JoinOCI-SDE)

Job Description

We are looking for strong Software Developers to take on the challenge of engineering Compute Infrastructure solutions for scale and performance while providing strong guarantees of availability to our customers. Your team will have diverse expertise in systems, networking, and software development to provide stability, performance, and reliability our customers need. You will build services to address hard network and system problems while enabling our customers with solutions for their business problems that are solved by large compute stacks. You will deliver the solutions that directly contribute to our customer’s success.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Strong knowledge of Linux resource management, Linux monitoring and troubleshooting, 3-5 years of experienceProficient in shell scriptingCapable writing tools with a language such as PythonCapable of fault, crash dump, packet capture analysisFamiliarity interacting with SOA, Web Services, Microservices, etcExcellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills5+ years of systems administration within large-scale server environments2+ years managing host virtualization technologies (KVM, K8s, Containers, Docker, etc)

Hiring Range: from $74,800 - $178,200 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
