PHP Software Developer

VetsEZ is seeking a highly talented Software Developer/System Administrator who will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting software in a variety of programming languages. This developer should have experience upgrading and troubleshooting issues with Cache/Ensemble/IRIS.The candidate must reside within the continental US.Responsibilities:Create strategies for developing IT systems and applicationsDesign, develop and update Cache/Ensemble/IRIS applicationsKnowledge of database compatibility between versionsMigrate legacy applications from on-premise environments to the cloudAbility to combine, migrate, forecast development, and manage large scale databases.Ability to research and recommend approved VA COTS (custom off the shelf) solutionsCache and IRIS database DBA experience, including connectivity (ODBC) and integration with other systemsRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or technical discipline.At least 5 years of experience developingExperience with Cache/Ensemble/IRISExperience in Intersystems USR, IRIS, Objectscript, and XSLT DevelopmentExperience in interface protocols such as REST and SOAPExperience with migrating from older Intersystems Healthshare systems to newer onesDatabase design knowledgeDemonstrated knowledge and use of modern software development and DevOps tools including GitHub and implementation of a DevOps pipeline in a cloud environmentAdditional Qualifications:Experience in the VA (Department of Veterans Affairs) or other health-related organizations desiredExperience with Community Care products and COTS products used by them (DAPER, TeleForm, MOVEit, ODM, RightFax)Familiarization with ePASS and NMEAExperience with SAFe, Jira, and ServiceNow preferredAbility to obtain a government clearanceBenefits:Medical/Dental/Vision401k with Employer MatchPTO + Federal HolidaysCorporate LaptopTraining opportunitiesRemote OpportunityQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.Sorry, we are unable to offer sponsorship at this time.
