This position allows you to apply software development and NLP knowledge to real-world situations while learning the technical skills needed for a successful career. The internship is 20-40 hours/week for approximately 13 to 15 weeks. Preferred candidates would have the opportunity to return for up to two additional semesters during their studies.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design, development, and implementation of NLP models and algorithms.Write clean, efficient, and scalable code to support NLP applications.Collaborate with data scientists and software developers to integrate NLP solutions into products.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.Debug and troubleshoot NLP-related software issues.Develop and implement data preprocessing pipelines, tokenization, and model evaluation metrics.Conduct research on the latest NLP technologies and trends to inform development strategies.Attend virtual meetings and networking events to represent ZapIntern.

Education and SkillsCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related field.Experience with programming languages (such as Python, Java, or R) and NLP frameworks (such as NLTK, spaCy, or Transformers) (preferred).Strong understanding of NLP principles, algorithms, and tools.Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Outstanding academic credentials and a passion for NLP and software development.To Learn More Visit: ZapIntern.
