This is a hybrid (on-site 3 days/week) role based in Alpharetta, GA.

Responsibilities

Programming using SQL and PL/SQL and related technologies Query turning and optimizationProvide solutions to the data engineering challengesWork as part of a banking Agile SquadWork in the Agile development methodologies, collaborating with business and technology teams located globallyCandidate must have good communication skills and have the ability to lead IT deliverablesActively contribute and participate in sprint grooming and planning discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies

Qualifications

5+ years of experience working with highly available and large volume databasesDeep understanding of database concepts and related technologiesStrong experience in database SQL and PL/SQL programming with DB2 & SQL Server databasesHands-on experience with performance tuning, optimizing database queries, etc. Hands-on experience with high performance data processingHands-on experience with tools for Version Control, Job Scheduling, etc.Experience in collaborating with partners and stakeholders across geography and time zonesGood communication skills and should be able to work across both Business Users and IT teams across geographical regions and time zones as well as the ability to lead IT deliverablesPractical working experience in Agile development methodologiesMinimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of requirements of large enterprise applications (security, entitlements, etc.)Understanding of modern databases ( NoSQL, Cloud based etc.)Exposure to Snowflake
