Work location : Dallas, TX (Permanent remote. Should be able to support US Central work hours) A customer team in Central US needs to add to their SAS Teradata development team for some additional project and support work. The SAS Teradata environment is in need of additional SAS Teradata development support for a special project and support. SAS Teradata development enhancements will be on existing jobs and stored procedures. Additionally, some new development is required for campaign and customer management reports. The SAS processes function to prepare data to be sent to campaigns. Work within a structured development lifecycle including preparing test data, creating test cases and validating results. Additionally, working in Agile environment utilizing JIRA Kanban boards. Day to Day job Duties: Working in a SAS Base Teradata development environment. The work will be primarily support and development of enhancements on existing jobs and stored procedures. Some of the business data involved with the SAS Base code are campaign and customer management reports. The SAS processes function to prepare data to be sent to campaigns. Work within a structured development lifecycle including preparing test data, creating test cases and validating results. Additionally, working in Agile environment utilizing JIRA Kanban boards. Basic Qualifications: • Minimum of 8 Years’ Experience • SQL Skills - High Skilled (experience with Temporal Tables) • Teradata database knowledge and experience as a SAS developer • Understand ETL processing and logic using standard tables and versioned tables. • Understand ETL data change strategies for type 1, type 2 and versioning with data synchronization. • Batch Processing of ETL • Highly skilled in SAS functionality such as pass thru SQL, Proc, Data Steps, SAS Macros • Base SAS code experience • SAS Enterprise Guide Experience • BitBucket Experience • Jenkins Experience • Build and Deploy Process Experience • Job Scheduling Tool Knowledge and Experience Nice to Have; (But not a must) • Performance Tuning for Queries • Familiarity with Postman or similar tool making a web call in making calls to restful API (external API) • SQLServer Database knowledge and experience • Prefer IWS Job Scheduling knowledge but will accept comparable job scheduling tool experience. Exclusions: • Participation in an off hours On-Call rotation • Experience or skill in SAS DI
