To Be Considered You'll Need

We're looking for an experienced senior backend engineer to join us with a general skill set in Java (particularly Spring Boot). But any additional skills with React are welcome.

Backend Knowledge

Java 17 and/or 21 Spring Boot 3 for microservices AWS Lambda, API Gateway & S3 Database technologies (SQL, PostgreSQL) Messaging technologies (ActiveMQ or Kafka) Unit and Integration tests (Cucumber) "API first" Mindset: integrations across teams will go through either REST or GraphQL APIs. You should be familiar with these and comfortable working with them.

Ot Her Experiences

Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (Jenkins) Trunk Based Development (GitHub) Cloud platform (AWS) Familiarity with mobile/distributed systems, integration patterns, and common issues in these environments Secure development principles - OWASP “Top 10”, integrating security with services. Feature Flag tools (LaunchDarkly) Logging, Observability & Monitoring (Splunk, Dynatrace, Cloudwatch)

Communications And Technical Leadership

Excellent written & oral English, C1 level minimum. Proactively display qualities that demonstrate technical leadership in your field of expertise: active involvement in discussion on key meetings, and communicating technical problems and solutions carefully and thoroughly across all team members and seniorities.

Nice To Have

NodeJs (BFF) Spring Boot 2 React Test coverage with tools like Jest & Cypress. Containers platform (Kubernetes, OpenShift) SRE mindset - we maintain and support the solution across the environments. You should have experience with operating software at scale within production systems. Familiarity with devops and debugging skills are important and heavily valued. IAC understanding
