Lead Java Developer - Search Engine

We are actively looking for a Lead Java Developer to join our remote team.

This role offers the chance to work with the latest technologies in the GenAI sector and acquire expertise with vector search. The primary responsibilities include the development and enhancement of a cloud-based search engine, the implementation of advanced full-text semantic and vector search capabilities, and the application of AI techniques to address business challenges.

Responsibilities

Continuous refinement and enhancement of the cloud-based search engineImplementation of advanced full-text semantic and vector search capabilities, mostly used in RAG use casesApplication of AI techniques to address business issuesParticipation in the development of high-end productsCollaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance client offeringsContribution to the ongoing refinement of the search engine

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of development experience, with a focus on JavaAn established history of leading and mentoring a team of engineersIn-depth knowledge of enterprise search platforms, full-text search technologies, and search enginesSignificant experience with Amazon Web ServicesFamiliarity with Elasticsearch and SolrProficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level

Nice to have

Prior experience with Generative AIComprehensive understanding of algorithms and data structuresExperience with Apache Lucene Core and OpenSearch
