Java Web Developer - NACI Clearance Required!

We are seeking a Java Web Developer that is a clearable US Citizen to work on our MilitaryChildcare.com program. This position is REMOTE!

A week in the life of a Java Web Developer:

Taking ownership and responsibility for meeting weekly and sprint goals with high qualityAttend daily standup with development and technical teamFollow the team’s Agile software development process to design, code, unit test stories and bugs for each sprintUse development tools for updating tasks and stories, check-in, and version controlReview functional requirements and design code functionality to meet those requirementsMaintain Interface Control Documents and other design documentationDevelop responsive modern web application functionality using Java/RESTDevelop service mock interfaces for use in local development testingSupport the integration of our application with partner teams and services via REST callsEnsuring secure code, high performance, and high qualityCollaborate with other team members to develop and test application functionalityParticipate in design and code reviews, and other peer reviews Support Code Demos to the team and our customers

Job Requirements

2-3 years of developing web application services using Java, REST, JSON, JUnitWorking with REST services to support communications between Web Application front end and database backendFunctional unit testing of code with unit testing, using both mock interfaces and actual external componentsIntegration with multiple internal and external services Ability to learn and adapt quicklySelf-Motivated, Self-Started who can take responsibility for their workAdditional Qualifications would be nice to haveExperience with developing/deploying applications hosted in Apache TomcatExperience with MavenExperience with micro-servicesExperience in developing web applications using HTML, JavaScript/TypeSriptExperience in writing SQL Server T-SQL scripts

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $80,000 – 100,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
