Role Overview:

As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backbone of our revolutionary beauty platform. You will work with microservices architecture, object-oriented programming languages, and JavaScript frameworks to build scalable and robust systems. Additionally, you will collaborate with our infrastructure team to ensure seamless integration and continuous deployment processes.

What You'll Be Doing: Designing and implementing microservices that support our subscription-based beauty service platform.Developing and maintaining backend services using OOP languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby.Working with JavaScript frameworks like Node.js to build efficient and scalable server-side applications.Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Implementing security and data protection measures.Managing and optimizing database operations, including MongoDB, AWS databases and SQL and/or other relevant databases.Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes.Monitoring and troubleshooting issues in production environments.Participating in code reviews to maintain high-quality code and improve team practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.Proficiency in at least one OOP language such as Java, Python, or Ruby.Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks, particularly Node.js.Proven experience with microservices architecture.Solid understanding of database technologies, including MongoDB.Experience with infrastructure management and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
